Gretchen Shanks (she/her) is a Seattle-based sex and dating coach certified in the Somatica Method, an experiential and relational approach to coaching grounded in the body. She came to this work after confronting and tackling her own struggles with body image, dating, and shame about her sexuality. Now she gets great satisfaction helping others untangle the knots of socialization, shame, and uncertainty to find the truest expressions of their erotic and relational nature and to learn the skills to have the kind of intimate life they’ve always desired.

I love sharing my story and helping people see that there’s a different way to approach and understand our sexuality than the traditional narratives that dominate our culture teach us. And that it’s never too late to figure this stuff out – I was 42 when I did!
